Dear Family and Friends,

We hope this holiday season is a happy time for you and your loved ones.  What a wonderful time of year this is - Thanksgiving gives us a time to think of our many blessings, Christmas gives us a time to ponder on our Savior's birth and the New Year gives us a chance to reflect on the previous year and make goals for the coming one.
This certainly has been a busy year for us.  In February we found out that we were going to be parents!  This was exciting news - something we had been hoping for since we've been married.  We kept very busy throughout the spring with various church activities and landscaping projects.  In June Michele put in a pond for her own parents and Charles' parents.  Then in July she put one in for a friend up in Snohomish.  Being pregnant didn't slow her down a bit!
During the spring and summer Charles was able to travel to a variety of cities across the country to install software for the company he works for -The Intelitech Group.  He visited such places as Philadelphia, Atlanta, Houston, St. Louis and Hollywood, to name a few.  Most trips didn't allow for much sight-seeing but he was able to get a lot of work done while he was there.  He also kept busy offering computer support to clients  in Vancouver and Portland through his own on-going business: Electronic Business Solutions.
In September, as Michele was just finishing up her landscaping around the house,  we found a piece of property in Kalama (30 miles north of Vancouver) that we really liked.  After talking and praying about it, we came to the decision that we would put our house up for sale and buy the property.  This marked the beginning of a very busy month and a half for us.  We had a full price offer on our house after it had been on the market for only a week and a half.  We closed a month later and were gone.  We are currently living with Michele's parents while we wait for our new home to be built.  The property is 5 1/2 acres and has a gorgeous view of the Kalama River valley.  We hope to move in before next summer.
On November 16, 2000, after 25 hours of labor, Michele gave birth to our first child, Alexander James Boling, a healthy baby boy.  He weighed 8 pounds 1 ounce and was 20 1/2 inches long.  Alexander is a wonderful child with an exceptionally happy and contented disposition.  Even the nurses in the hospital were amazed and charmed by his smile and big happy, blue eyes.  Both sets of grandparents live very close and love this bundle of joy!
We thank you for your love, friendship and support and again hope this is a happy holiday season for you and your loved ones.

                                        Best Wishes to All,
